New Jersey Symphony Orchestra is set to present An Evening with Bernadette Peters, June 2 at 8pm at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
The program will feature Peters performing Broadway standards and other pieces with her longtime conductor Marvin Laird at the podium. Gerald Steichen will conduct the first-half orchestra program.
Peters recently appeared as Sally Durant Plummer in the Broadway revival of Follies. She received Tony Awards for Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, and her many other Broadway credits include Gypsy, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, and A Little Night Music, among others. As previously reported, she will receive the Isabelle Stevenson Award at this year’s Tony Awards ceremony.
