Musicals Tonight has announced plans for its 2012-2013 season to be presented at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row.
The season’s first offering will be announced at a later date.
The second offering will be Fade Out – Fade In (October 16-28), a musical spoof about Hollywood in the 1930s, with a book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and music by Jule Styne.
In 2013, Musicals Tonight will present Ira and George Gershwin’s Strike Up the Band (March 12-24), to be followed by the world premiere of Stan Daniels’ musical version of Bernard Slade’s romantic comedy, Same Time, Next Year (April 2-14)
The season’s final production will be Leave It to Jane (April 16-28), with book and lyrics by Guy Bolton and P. G. Wodehouse and music by Jerome Kern.
