Rhino UK is releasing a live London Cast Album for the musical Million Dollar Quartet tonight, September 29, to coincide with Jerry Lee Lewis’ 76th birthday.
Million Dollar Quartet, which performs in the West End’s Noel Coward Theatre, is inspired by the December 4, 1956 recording session that brought together Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley. It is co-authored by Floyd Mutrux and Colin Escott, and directed by Eric Schaeffer, with musical direction by Chuck Mead
Songs include “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Fever,” “Down By The Riverside,” “Sixteen Tons,” “I Walk The Line,” “Let’s Have a Party,” “I Hear You Knocking,” “Great Balls Of Fire,” “Hound Dog,” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.”
The London cast album will be available on Rhino UK and can be purchased at the Noël Coward Theatre or from selected online retailers.
