LaTanya Richardson Jackson to Lead Master Class for Semi-Finalists of Atlanta August Wilson Monologue Competition

Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company has announced that LaTanya Richardson Jackson, director of the theater’s upcoming production of August Wilson’s Two Trains Running, will lead a master class for the semi-finalists of the Atlanta August Wilson Monologue Competion.

The August Wilson Monologue Competition is open to high school students from participating cities. Competitors must perform a two to three minute monologue from any of the plays in August Wilson’s Century Cycle and will be judged by a panel comprised of theatre professionals from their respective communities.

Atlanta semi-finalists will also receive a rare behind the scenes experiences during
Two Trains Running, including attending the first rehearsal with the director, designers, and cast. In addition, participants will receive tickets to attend opening night of Two Trains Running.
