Joel Rooks will star in Rupert Holmes’ Say Goodnight, Gracie, to run May 1 – June 18 at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse of Cape May Stage. Roy Steinberg will direct the production.
The solo play about the entertainer George Burns and his wife earned a Tony nomination in 2003. The production will also feature (in pre-recorded voiceover) Didi Conn as Gracie Allen.
Rooks understudied his role in the play’s Broadway production, and has played the part regionally. Additional theater credits include Taller Than A Dwarf, The Tenth Man, The Sisters Rosensweig, The Secret Order, Rocket to the Moon, and Comic Potential.
