Academy Award and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will perform on the April 15 edition of FOX-TV’s American Idol, the show on which she previously appeared as a contestant, according to EW.com.
The site also reports that singer Miley Cyrus, best known for her role as Hannah Montana, will also appear on the episode, which will focus on songs from movies.
Hudson won the Oscar for her role as Effie White in Dreamgirls and co-starred in the films Sex and the City and The Secret Life of Bees. She also appeared on Broadway in the Actors’ Fund concert version of Hair.
