The line-up has been announced for AltCom! The Alternative Comedy Festival, set to take place at Davis Square, May 7-10. Events will be presented at the Somerville Theatre, the Burren, and the Armory for the Arts.
Kicking off the festival will be Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black, May 7, along with former Saturday Night Live writer Leo Allen, the Comedy Studio’s Ken Reid, and MC Mr. Napkins. Later that night, Ken Reid will return to the stage with Lafta Obscura, featuring Sean Sullivan and Nate Johnson. Janeane Garofalo will take the stage, May 8, along with Jamie Kilstein, and the comedy duo Myq Kaplan and Micah Sherman; and the Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company will perform with Rob Riggle, Eugene Mirman, and Ian Moore later that evening.
On Saturday, May 9, Myq Kaplan, Jamie Kilstein and MC Mr. Napkins team up for TOFUnny; the Steamy Bohemians will present Jerkus Circus with Jamie Kilstein and Ian Moore; and Brian Longwell will premiere his showMy 401K is now a 4.1K. The festival will close with The Onion, May 10, with a variety of political commentary, short sketches, and video clips.
