The Cape Cod Theatre Project has announced its directors for the upcoming 2011 season. Each director will be working to develop a new play with CCTP.

Director Jackson Gay will team with playwright Laura Jacqmin to work on her newest play And When We Awoke There Was Light and Light, July 28-30, which gives new resonance to college admissions.

Pam Berlin will direct Mari Brown’s and Deanna Pacelli’s one-woman show 23 Feet in 12 Minutes, July 14-16, which follows six real-life New Orleans characters whose lives were irrevocably changed by Hurricane Katrina.

Ian Morgan will helm The Dark Pines by David West Reade, the story of a young pop star who returns home to Canada after another stint in rehab and finds that her family’s snowy cabin in the woods is no longer the safe haven she imagined, which will run July 7-9.

From July 21-23, Giovanna Sardelli will direct Pookie Goes Grenading, by J.C. LEE, a comedy about teenage terrorism in the name of art.
