Gotham Chamber Opera and Nico Muhly Conspire Set for Le Poisson Rouge

Gotham Chamber Opera and Nico Muhly Conspire will be presented at Le Poisson Rouge on Thursday, October 13, at 8pm.

Composer Muhly will be on piano, along with Neal Goren, with participants also including Michele Angelini, tenor; Anne-Carolyn Bird, soprano; Vanessa Cariddi, mezzo-soprano; Eve Gigliotti, mezzo-soprano; Clarice Jensen, cello; and Yuki Lee Numata, violin.

The evening will include the music of Muhly, Mozart, Purcell, Sibelius, Glass, and others.

Muhly is also the composer of Gotham Chamber Opera’s upcoming production of Dark Sisters, which features a libretto by playwright Stephen Karam. It will be conducted by Neal Goren, directed by Rebecca Taichman, and is co-commissioned and co-produced by Gotham Chamber Opera, Music-Theatre Group and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. The production will play the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, November 9-19.
