Glenn Close will receive the Career Achievement Honor at the 15th annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The event will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on October 24.
Close won Tony Awards for her roles in The Real Thing, Death and the Maiden, and Sunset Boulevard, and received a Tony nomination for Barnum. In addition, she has received Academy Award nominations for her performances in Dangerous Liaisons, Fatal Attraction, The Natural, The Big Chill, and The World According to Garp, and she has won two Emmy Awards: for the FX series Damages and for the television movie Serving in Silence: The Margerethe Cammermeyer Story. Her newest movie, Albert Nobbs, was recently seen at the Telluride Film Festival.
As previously reported, the event will also honor stage veterans Jessica Chastain, Felicity Jones, Christopher Plummer, and Michelle Williams, along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the ensemble of The Help.
