Fox Valley Rep has announced plans for its 2012 summer season at Pheasant Run Resort.
The season will open with Theo Ubique’s revue of 20th Century Broadway icons Some Enchanted Evening (May 31-July 22). Next, the company will present the Collider New Play Project (July 7-21), a new play program partnering playwrights from around the country with scientists from Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory to develop new works that help us better understand the universe. Heather Moran will present Rosie! A Tribute… (July 28), a musical adventure spanning the 40 year career of Rosemary Clooney. The summer’s FVR Youth Ensemble production will be a stage adaptation of the popular Disney Channel movie High School Musical (July 21-August 5).
Continuing the season will be comedian Mike Toomey’s look at how the role of television in his childhood has shaped his adult life TV & Me (August 4). Then, Chicago’s best-loved comedy group will present The Best of The Second City (August 10 and 11). To bring the season to a close, FVR will present Sirens (August 16-October 7), a modern comedy about the stormy seas of marriage.
