Folger Shakespeare Library has announced that it has acquired the theatrical archive of the late actress and playwright Lynn Redgrave.

Redgrave received Tony Award nominations for her work in Mrs. Warren’s Profession, Shakespeare for My Father, and The Constant Wife and Academy Award nominations for Georgy Girl and Gods and Monsters. In addition to her career in the theater, Redgrave also served on the Board of Governors of the Folger Shakespeare Library.

The archive is a collection of professional and family papers that documents Redgrave’s extensive career on stage and screen, as well as a life-long interest in Shakespeare. It includes scrapbooks documenting her early stage success as well as promptbooks and other production materials for her many plays, films, and work for television.
