The National Theatre has confirmed the four productions of live theatrical productions that will be broadcast to cinema screens around the world in the next twelve months as part of its recently-created NT Live program.

Following the launch broadcast of Phedre, starring Helen Mirren and Dominic Cooper, the National will screen Marianne Elliott’s production of All’s Well That Ends Well, featuring Clare Higgins; Mark Ravenhill’s adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s novel Nation; and the world premiere of Alan Bennett’s latest play The Habit of Art, which stars Michael Gambon, Alex Jennings, and Frances de la Tour.

The performances will be filmed live at the National in high definition and broadcast via satellite to over 60 UK cinemas outside of London, as well as 170 venues around the world, including venues in the United States, including Washington D.C’s Shakespeare Theatre and Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre, as well as Canada, Australia, South Africa, Scandinavia and continental Europe.
