Complete casting has been announced for the return engagement of Mike Kenny’s adaptation of E. Nesbit’s children’s book The Railway Children, to run June 19-September 4 at The Waterloo Station Theatre. Damian Cruden has directed the production.
The story centers on three children whose lives change dramatically when their father is mysteriously taken away. They move from London to a cottage in rural Yorkshire with their mother where they befriend the local railway porter and embark on a journey of discovery, friendship and adventure.
The company will feature Marcus Brigstocke (Station Master Perks), Pandora Cliffford (Mother), David Baron (Old Gentleman), Mark Holgate (Jim), Elizabeth Keats (Mrs Perks), Tim Lewis (Peter), Stephen Beckett (Father/ Doctor), Amy Noble (Roberta), Blair Plant (Shepansky), Amanda Prior (Mrs Viney/Cook) and Grace Rowe (Phyllis), along with Francesca Ellis, Felicity Houlbrooke and James Rigby.
The creative team includes production designer Joanna Scotcher, lighting designer Richard G. Jones, sound designer Craig Vear, and composer Christopher Madin.
