Cinemax Picks Up Hurt People Pilot, Starring William Petersen

Cinemax has ordered a pilot from the previously reported GK-tv drama project starring and executive produced by William Petersen, Hurt People, according to Deadline.com.

The pilot features a script by Peter Macmanus, and revolves around Petersen’s character, a hitman working for the same crime family responsible for his wife’s death, who comes into conflict with his daughter, who is seeking revenge.

Petersen is an official ensemble member at the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago. His credits with the company include Dublin Carol, Balm in Gilead and Fool for Love. Other theater credits include In The Belly of the Beast, The Night of the Iguana, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Glengarry Glen Ross. He is best known for his role as Gil Grissom on CBS-TV’s CSI.
