Drama Desk Award and Emmy Award winner
Bobby Cannavale will play Ricky Roma in Daniel Sullivan’s upcoming Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross.
As previously announced, Tony and Oscar winner Al Pacino will play Shelley Levine in the revival, which will begin previews on October 16 at Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in advance of a November 11 opening. The production will have set design by Eugene Lee and costume design by Jess Goldstein.
The play, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, concerns a group of real estate agents involved in cut-throat competition.
Cannavale is scheduled to star in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway revival of Clifford Odets’ The Big Knife in Spring 2013. He received a Tony Award nomination and a Drama Desk Award for his performances in The Motherf**ker with the Hat and a Tony Award nomination for Mauritius. He won the Emmy Award for Will & Grace and recently concluded a 10-episode run on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie.
Glengarry Glen Ross will be produced by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Jam Theatricals, the same team behind the work’s last Broadway revival, in 2004.
