Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, Adam Rapp, Anne Washburn, et al. Set for Humana Festival of New American Plays
The Festival will open with Anne Washburn's A Devil at Noon (February 27 - April 3). Steve Cosson will direct this piece, which focuses on a science fiction writer whose life is not going as well as his new book. A new play by Adam Rapp, The Edge Out of Our Bodies (March 22 - April 3), will also debut at the Festival. Rapp will direct his script which focuses on a 16-year-old girl en route to New York to share some news with her boyfriend.
Also scheduled are Jordan Harrison's look at two 21st century women trying to escape to a 1950s world, Maple and Vine (March 4 - April 3), to be directed by Anne Kauffman; Molly Smith Metzler's comic look at a brother and sister who have grown apart in adulthood, Elemeno Pea (March 8 - April 3), to be directed by Davis McCallum; and A. Rey Pamatmat's investigation of the makeshift family a teenage boy and his younger sister create for themselves, Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them (March 11 - April 2), to be directed by May Adrales.
