Norbert Leo Butz, Sutton Foster, Susan Stroman, et al. Win Astaire Awards

Susan Stroman has won the award for Best Choreographer on Broadway for her work on The Scottsboro Boys. Sutton Foster has received a second Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer on Broadway for Anything Goes, while Norbert Leo Butz has won Best Male Dancer for Catch Me if You Can.
Other awards were presented to Graeme Murphy and Janet Vernon (Excellence in Choreography in Film) for Mao's Last Dancer, and Jacques d'Amboise received the Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, the first Adele Astaire Scholarship has been presented to 17-year-old Corey Snide, a former star of Billy Elliot, who has been accepted to Julliard this fall.
