Patrick Willingham Named Public Theater Executive Director

Patrick Willingham will assume the position of Executive Director of The Public Theater on November 28. He fills the position which was left vacant after the resignation of Andrew Hamingson last February and has been filled since that time by Joey Parnes, as Interim Executive Director.

Willingham previously served as president and chief operating officer of Blue Man Productions. His other experience includes working with the off-Broadway producer and general manager Maria di Dia at her firm, Maria Productions, as well as with Jujamcyn Theaters, the owners and operators of five Broadway venues. Most recently Willingham served as an independent consultant for the Cirque du Soleil partner Cirque Eloize in Montreal, advising them on their efforts to expand into the US commercial theatrical market.
