Orlando Bloom, Carol Channing, Toni Collette, Keira Knightley, Campbell Scott, Kathleen Turner, et al. Star in Tribeca Film Festival Selections

An updated list of films has been announced for the 10th Tribeca Film Festival, which will take place from April 20 to May 1 at various venues in lower Manhattan.

New to the slate are such short films as Ron Feld’s Love, Lots of It, starring Campbell Scott; Joe DeRosa’s Cheat, which features Colin Quinn, and Marion Pilowsky’s The Ride, which stars Tony Award winner Anthony LaPaglia.

The festival’s slate also includes Dori Bernstein’s documentary Carol Channing: Larger Than Life; Lance Daly’s The Good Doctor, starring Orlando Bloom; John Michael McDonagh’s The Guard, starring Don Cheadle and Brendan Gleeson; Higher Ground, directed by and starring Vera Farmiga, and co-starring Tony Award winners Donna Murphy and Bill Irwin; David M. Rosenthal’s Jamie Jones, starring Abigail Breslin, Alessandro Nivola, and Brittany Snow; Massy Tadjedin’s Last Night, starring Keira Knightley; Anne Renton’s The Perfect Family, starring Kathleen Turner and Jason Ritter; Michael Cuesta’s Roadie, starring Ron Eldard and Bobby Cannavale; Alex Rotaru’s documentary Shakespeare High, featuring Kevin Spacey, Richard Dreyfuss, Val Kilmer, and Mare Winningham; and Dan Rush’s Everything Must Go, starring Will Ferrell and Rebecca Hall.


Other films to be shown are Catherine Treischmann’s family drama, Angel’s Crest, starring Thomas Dekker, Lynn Collins, Jeremy Piven, Elizabeth McGovern, Mira Sorvino, and Kate Walsh; Dennis Lee’s Jesus Henry Christ, about a 10-year-old boy genius’ search for his biological father, starring Toni Collette, Michael Sheen, Jason Spevack and Samantha Weinstein; Joe Maggio’s The Last Rites of Joe May, starring Dennis Farina as a small-time Chicago hustler; Peter Mullan’s NEDS, about a young man in 1970s Glasgow who descends into a life of crime; and the documentary, The Swell Season, which details the offscreen romance of Once stars and collaborators Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova.
