Tracy Letts, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, et al. Set for Steppenwolf’s 2010-2011 Season

The Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will include a revival of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (December 2 – February 6), to be directed by Pam MacKinnon and starring Tracy Letts and Amy Morton.

The season will open with Detroit (September 9 – November 7), a new play from Lisa D’Amour about a neighborly friendship with some unexpected complications. The company will feature Kate Arrington and Robert Breuler.

In the new year, Jessica Thebus will direct Sally Murphy and Stephen Louis Grush in Laura Eason’s Sex with Strangers (January 20 – May 15), which focuses on two writers who find their casual online and sexual relationship has deeper meaning.

The season will be rounded out with a revival of Lanford Wilson’s The Hot L Baltimore (March 24 – May 29), directed by Tina Landau, and featuring Alana Arenas, K. Todd Freeman, and Yasen Peyankov; and Will Eno’s look at a pregnant woman’s arrival in a new city, Middletown (June 16 – August 14), to be directed by Les Waters and featuring Arenas.
