Jane Monheit, Tierney Sutton et al. to Play Birdland in January
Birdland Jazz Club has announced its 2012 January schedule.
Performers will include Nicholas Payton Quartet & Television Studio Orchestra (January 3-7); David Murray Cuban Ensemble (January 10-14); jazz vocalist Jane Monheit (January 17-20); and the Tierney Sutton Band (January 24-28).
In addition, the club will showcase the regular monthly engagements of Arturo O’Farrill & the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra (Sundays 9pm and 11pm), The Birdland Jazz Party (Sundays at 6pm), Jim Caruso’s “Cast Party” (Mondays at 9:30pm), and The Louis Armstrong Centennial Band aka David Ostwald’s Gully Low Jazz Band (Wednesdays at 5pm).
