Sutton Foster to Star in ABC’s Pilot Bunheads

Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster will star in the pilot for ABC’s Bunheads. The show is being created by Amy Sherman-Palladino.
Foster is slated to play Michelle, a Las Vegas showgirl who impulsively marries a man and moves to his sleepy coastal town, and takes an uneasy role at her new mother-in-law’s dance school.
Foster has won Tony Awards for Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes. She has also received Tony nominations for her starring roles in Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Shrek The Musical. Among her other stage credits are the City Center Encores! production of Anyone Can Whistle and Second Stage Theatre’s production of Trust.
