The new musical Diner, featuring a book by original screenwriter Barry Levinson and music and lyrics by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, will now play San Francisco’s Curran Theatre, October 23-November 18, 2012, and make its Broadway debut in the spring of 2013.

As previously reported, Kathleen Marshall will direct and choreograph the production.

Based on the 1982 film, Diner is set in Baltimore, 1959, when six high school friends reunite at the one place they know they’ll always belong: the Diner. Now in their twenties, the friends have stumbled into adulthood and struggle to keep from growing apart.

Design team and casting will be announced at a later date.
