NBC Orders Go On With Matthew Perry, Laura Benanti, and Julie White

NBC has given a 13-epsiode commitment to the series Go On, starring Matthew Perry and Tony Award winners Laura Benanti and Julie White. according to a report on Deadline.com.

The show centers on an irreverent sportscaster (to be played by Perry) and the members of his mandatory support group.

Perry is best known for his work on TV’s Friends and currently has a recurring role on CBS’ The Good Wife.

Benanti won the Tony for Gypsy, and was Tony-nominated for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Additional Broadway credits include Into the Woods, Nine, Wonderful Town, and Swing!. Her other television credits include The Playboy Club and Law & Order: SVU.

White won her Tony Award for The Little Dog Laughed. Her other theater credits include Bad Dates, Spike Heels, The Understudy, and From Up Here. Her film and television credits include the Transformers movies, Grace Under Fire, and Caveman.
