Adam Guettel to Become Artist-in-Residence at Pace University
Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist Adam Guettel has become the first Artist-in-Residence in Pace University's Musical Theater program within the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences.
Guettel, who won the Tony for The Light in the Piazza, will work with faculty members to teach a number of master classes and critique student projects. He will also workshop new musical material at Pace, as well as cover vocal performance, song interpretation, and the process of composition with the students.
A spring 2013 public lecture delivered by Guettel will explore the creative process and will include demonstrations of his work performed by students and graduates of the Pace BFA in Musical Theater program.
