Stars of You Can't Take It With You Donate Their Time to God's Love We Deliver

Cast members from the comedy will cook food for needy New Yorkers.

Cast members from the Broadway production of Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's You Can't Take It With You at the Longacre Theatre will join God's Love We Deliver for a three-hour shift on Tuesday, January 20, volunteering their time and helping to prepare meals for New Yorkers who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves.

Directed by Scott Ellis, You Can't Take It With You currently stars Tony winner James Earl Jones as Grandpa Martin Vanderhof, Anna Chlumsky as Alice Sycamore, Annaleigh Ashford as Essie Carmichael, Kristine Nielsen as Penelope Sycamore, Elizabeth Ashley as The Grand Duchess Olga, Richard Thomas as Paul Sycamore, Fran Kranza as Tony Kirby, Johanna Day as Mrs. Kirby, Byron Jennings as Mr. Kirby, Reg Rodgers as Boris Kolenkhov, Crystal A. Dickinson as Rheba, Julie Halston as Gay Wellington, Marc Damon Johnson as Donald, Patrick Kerr as Mr. De Pinna, and Nick Corley, Austin Durant, and Joe Tapper as the three G-men.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play follows two families, the Sycamores and the Kirbys, whose worlds collide when their children become engaged. The creative team includes scenic designer David Rockwell, costume designer Jane Greenwood, lighting designer Donald Holder, hair and wig designer Tom Watson, sound designer Jon Weston, and original music composer Jason Robert Brown.

The show began previews on August 26, 2014, and opened on September 28. It runs through February 22.
