When Yellow Were the Stars on Earth, a new World War II drama written and directed Franco Moschetti, is running at Cabrini Repertory Theater now through Saturday, February 1.

The play delves into the lives of Miriam, a Jewish Resistance fighter, and Klara, the German Cabaret singer who saves her in the midst of an SS raid in 1943 Berlin. Moschetti creates an imagined world where two women transcend enemy lines, sacrificing their own safety for love.

The cast features Michele Farbman as Miriam and Gudrun Buhler as Klara, along with Curtis Nielson, John Larkin, Matt McAllister, Marcello Padilla, Kazy Tauginas, Brenton Duplessie, Wanda O'Connell, and Rhea Ross. Patrick Bakalli serves as the production's tech director and lighting designer.
