Wooster Group to Hold Benefit Performance of Vieux Carre February 8

The Wooster Group will hold a benefit performance of its production of its latest multimedia stage work, Tennessee Williams’ Vieux Carré at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, on Tuesday, February 8 at 8pm.

The autobiographical play is set in the boarding house where Williams lived in the New Orleans French Quarter during the Depression and centers on a young writer struggling with literary ambitions, loneliness and homosexuality.

The production is directed by Elizabeth LeCompte, and features actors Kate Valk, Scott Shepherd, Ari Fliakos, Kaneza Schaal, and Daniel Pettrow. The production will run February 2-27.

Following the performance will be a party, co-chaired by Maura Tierney and Mikhail Baryshnikov. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit The Wooster Group.
