Women on Fire Completes Casting for Second Installment of Performance Series

Kathleen Chalfant, Cady Huffman, Lauran L’Rae, and more will perform on October 20 and 21.

Complete casting has been announced for Women on Fire: Scorching the Dividing Lines, running for two nights only at the Royal Family Performing Arts Center. Performances will be held on October 20 and October 21 at 6:30pm.

Written and directed by Royal Family's artistic director Chris Henry as told by a group of anonymous women, the show is the second installment of the Women on Fire series and is said to "dig even deeper into questions on the current 'State of Our Union' as America heads into midterm elections." All proceeds will benefit Royal Family's Emerging Artist Program.

The full cast includes Gina Naomi Baez (Orange Is the New Black), Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America), Maddie Corman (Picnic), Laura Gómez (Orange Is the New Black), Simone Harrison (LOVE/SICK), Cady Huffman (The Producers), Lauran L'Rae (Pose), Steffanie Leigh (War Paint), Cynthia Mace (Skintight), Doreen Montalvo (On Your Feet!), Adrienne C. Moore (Orange Is the New Black), Gargi Mukherjee (It's Free), Stephanie Jae Park (War Paint), Alysia Reiner (Orange Is the New Black), Laila Robins (Homeland), Constance Shulman (Orange Is the New Black), Lianah Sta. Ana (Miss Saigon), Kaili Y. Turner (The Cycle), and Ashley Williams (How I Met Your Mother). Kara Menendez, Musa Hitomi, Alyssa Ness, and Kiersten Foster make up the dance ensemble.

The creative team includes Cheyenne Sykes (lighting, scenic, and costume design), Lars Jacobsen (original music), Chet Miller (sound design), Jessica Wu (associate director), and Lorna Ventura (choreographer).
