Victoria Clark, Christine Ebersole, Kelli O’Hara, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Elaine Paige, Michael Urie et al. Added to New York City Opera Season

Additional casting has been announced for New York City Opera’s 2010-2011 season.
Victoria Clark, Christine Ebersole, Kelli O’Hara, Donna Murphy, Michael Cerveris, Darius de Haas, and Michael Urie will star in the fall concert Lucky to Be Me: The Vocal Music of Leonard Bernstein on Saturday, November 6 at 8pm and Sunday, November 7 at 1:30pm.

Brian Stokes Mitchell and Elaine Paige will join the previously reported Kristin Chenoweth and Raúl Esparza for City Opera’s spring gala on Thursday, April 21 at 8pm. Entitled Defying Gravity: The Music of Stephen Schwartz, the gala will feature a program of songs from Schwartz’s acclaimed Broadway and film works. Victor Garber will host.

As previously announced, Lauren Flanigan will star in the New York premiere of Schwartz’s Séance on a Wet Afternoon, based on the novel by Mark McShane and its 1964 film noir adaptation. That production will play April 19-May 1.

Schwartz will also appear on a panel of distinguished composers and playwrights on Sunday, April 10 at 7:30pm, along with Adam Guettel.
