UnsungMusicalsCo. has announced a three-year partnership with the York Theatre Company. As part of this partnership, the Theatre at Saint Peter's, home to the York Theatre Company, will host all three productions of the UMC's Show Time! trilogy, kicking off with Show Time! The First 100 Years of the American Musical September 13-16.

UnsungMusicalsCo. is a New York-based not-for-profit production company dedicated to the preservation of musical theater through the revitalization and presentation of obscure but artistically sound works. The company primarily focuses on works from 1931-71.

Show Time!, created, written, and performed by UMC founder Ben West, features over two dozen songs, and charts the evolution of the American musical from the mid-1800s through 1999. The show features musical continuity and arrangements by Fran Minarik and direction and musical staging by Shannon Lewis.

The other two shows in the trilogy will be 45 Minutes From Coontown, focused on black musical writers, and 68 Ways to Go, about female musical writers. The former will be presented in fall 2019, and the latter will be presented in fall 2020.
