Uncle Vanya, With Cate Blanchett, to Play NYC's City Center in July

The Sydney Theater Company's critically acclaimed production of Anton Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya, starring Oscar winner Cate Blanchett as Yelena, will be presented at City Center from July 19 through July 28 as part of the Lincoln Center Festival, according to The New York Times.

The production, which is directed Tamas Ascher, features a new translation by Andrew Upton and is set in the 1950s.

Seen last summer at the Kennedy Center, the production also featured Richard Roxburgh as Vanya, Hugo Weaving as Astrov, and Jacki Weaver as Marina.
