Songwriters (The Great American Mousical) will bring The Marcy & Zina Show back to Broadway at Birdland on January 7 at 7 pm. They will be joined by concert and cabaret director Scott Coulter as well as The Great American Mousical‘s David Beach (Mamma Mia!), Christine Pedi (Forbidden Broadway), Jill Abramovitz (9 to 5), and more.

The show bills itself as an evening of Marcy and Zina’s “usual comedic, romantic hullaballo.”

Lyricist Marcy Heisler and composer Zina Goldrich have been collaborating since 1993 and are known for songs such as “Taylor, the Latte Boy,” most famously sung by Kristin Chenoweth, and “Alto’s Lament” as well as the musicals Dear Edwina and the recent hit The Great American Mousical. The two earned a 2009 Drama Desk Nomination for Dear Edwina and a 2005 Lucille Lortel Award nomination for their Off-Broadway musical Junie B. Jones. They are also currently in development for an adaptation of the 1998 film Ever After in collaboration with director Kathleen Marshall.
