Trezana Beverley, Matt Dellapina, Heather Raffo Set for Red Bull’s The Aeneid

Updated casting has been announced for Red Bull’s “In the Raw” workshop presentation of Olivier Kemeid’s The Aeneid, inspired by Virgil and translated by Judith G. Miller. Kay Matschullat will direct the presentation, which will be presented at Theater at St Clement’s, on Saturday, February 11 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, February 12 at 3pm.
The cast will now feature Craig Baldwin, Michelle Beck, Trezana Beverley, Maha Chehlaoui, Matt Dellapina, Ramsey Faragallah Bhavesh Patel, and Heather Raffo.
As previously reported, Tony-winning composer and pop star Duncan Sheik has composed music for this new play, which transports Aeneas’s search for a homeland into the modern world of middle-eastern revolution. The staging will feature designs by Andromache Chalfant.
“In the Raw” is a workshop program which develops new plays of heightened language and classic themes or new takes on classics through rehearsals and public performances.
