Tony Winners Barbara Cook and John Tiffany Will Be Honored at This Year's Drama League Awards

The ceremony is set for May 16 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.

The Drama League will honor performer Barbara Cook and director John Tiffany at the 80th Annual Drama League Awards, set for Friday, May 16, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.

Cook, a Tony winner for her performance as Marian in the original production of The Music Man, will receive the Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theatre Award, and Tony-winning Once and The Glass Menagerie director Tiffany will be honored with the Founders Award for Excellence in Directing. Additionally, Key Brand Entertainment/Broadway Across America will receive the Unique Contribution to the Theatre Award.

These honors accompany the five competitive categories of Distinguished Play, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and Distinguished Performance. The nominees in these categories will be announced on Wednesday, April 23.
