Tony Danza will play the role of Max Bialystock in the Broadway production of The Producers from December 19-March 11, and Tony Award winner Roger Bart will return to the show as Leo Bloom on December 19 and stay until February 11. They will replace current stars John Treacy Egan and Hunter Foster, respectively.

Danza has previously appeared on Broadway in A View from the Bridge and The Iceman Cometh. He appeared Off-Broadway in Wrong Turn at Lungfish and starred earlier this fall in I Remember You at Los Angeles' Falcon Theatre. He is a popular cabaret performer, who has appeared many times at Feinstein's at the Regency. He has starred on four primetime television series, Taxi, Who's the Boss?, Hudson Street, and Family Law; received an Emmy Award nomination for his guest starring role on The Practice, and most recently hosted his own talk show, The Tony Danza Show.

Bart originated the role of Carmen Ghia in The Producers, for which he received a Tony nomination, and recreated the part for the film version. He has played Leo off-and-on since 2002. Bart won the Tony as Best Featured Actor in a Musical for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and has also starred on Broadway in Triumph of Love, Big River, and The Frogs. Bart recently starred on the ABC series Desperate Housewives.

The Producers opened on Broadway in April 2001 and won a record-setting 12 Tony Awards. The show also stars Brad Musgrove as Carmen Ghia, Bill Nolte as Franz Liebkind, Lee Roy Reams as Roger DeBris, and Angie Schworer as Ulla.
