Gingold Theatrical Group, the organization behind the Project Shaw reading series, will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with its Golden Shamrock Gala honoring Tony Award winning actor/director Judith Ivey (recently of Broadway's The Heiress), Turner Classic Movies host Robert Osborne, and, of course, master Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw.

Held March 17 at Gramercy Park South's prestigious Players Club, the Golden Shamrock Gala will feature readings from Shaw, a corned beef and cabbage dinner, festive Irish music, and performances from Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey (Cabaret), Tony nominated playwright/actor Charles Busch (The Tale of the Allergist's Wife), and Obie Award winner Kate Mulgrew (Equus). Emmy and Tony Award winner Tyne Daly (Rabbit Hole) serves as the Event Chair.

Gingold Theatrical Group, founded in 2006 by actor/director David Staller (Man and Superman), is an organization dedicated to bringing the work of playwright George Bernard Shaw to life in New York City. Now in its seventh year, the Project Shaw reading series is the first group ever to present all 65 plays in Shaw's literary canon.

Funds raised from this year's gala will help finance Gingold Theatrical Group's upcoming off-Broadway co-production of Shaw's comedy You Never Can Tell. Their last off-Broadway co-production was the Irish Repertory Theatre's sold-out staging of Man and Superman.
