Theatre Forward has announced a series of events throughout the 2017-18 season to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

The festivities will begin with a cocktail party at the home of board member Pamela Farr and Buford Alexander in Greenwich, Connecticut, on September 9, with special guests Rebecca Luker and Regina Taylor.

In February 2018, Theatre Forward will host its 15th annual Broadway Roundtable, in which theater professionals and influencers come together to discuss the current theatrical landscape. And in April 2018, the annual Chairman's Awards Gala will be held to benefit the organization's Educating Through Theatre and Advancing Strong Theatre initiatives.

Formerly known as the National Corporate Theatre Fund, Theatre Forward has been dedicated to advancing American theater and its communities since its founding in 1977 by providing funding and other resources to the country's leading nonprofit theaters. After a strategic review to guide its future, the organization chose to adopt its new name to more accurately reflect its expanded funding outreach to include foundations and private individuals along with new program offerings, and to be more reflective of its proactive contribution to the arts community at large.
