Theatre Communications Group Announces Recipients of Inaugural Leadership U[niversity] Program

New York’s Theatre Communications Group recently released the names of the recipients of the Inaugural Leadership U]niversity] Program. The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and Theatre Communications Group’s intent is to strengthen the field by developing the individuals who are the core and future of theatre. The Foundation gives out two grants: One-on-One Grants, awarded to six talented, early-career leaders, and Continuing Ed Grants, awarded to eight mid-career professionals.

The One-on-One grants were awarded to Diana Buirski (focusing on fundraising and season planning), Amanda Delheimer Dimond (focusing on artistic direction), Seema Sueko (focusing on artistic direction), Matt O’Hare (focusing on interactive sound and video design), Quentin Talley (focusing on programming and education), and Maureen Towey (focusing on interactive technologies and community engagement).

The Continuing Ed grant recipients include Meghan Beals McCarthy of Chicago Dramatist, Travis Ross of Dallas Theater Center, Stephanie Thompson of Dell’Arte International, Braden Abraham of Seattle Repertory Theatre, Maryanna Clarke or Tennessee Women’s Theater Project, Steve Cosson of The Civilians, Benjamin Thoron of The Old Globe, and Jubilith Moore of Theatre of Yugen.
