TheaterMania.com Reformats Home Page

TheaterMania.com announced today that, effective immediately, Peter Filichia’s Diary will appear as a blog hosted by the website. In addition, columnists Barbara & Scott Siegel will be re-deployed as writers of stand-alone theater reviews and as contributors to the site’s new nightlife page, which will offer expanded coverage of the cabaret scene in New York and throughout the U.S. via the Siegels’ “Nightlife Notes” as well as a monthly cabaret overview column by executive editor Brian Scott Lipton.

“We are always thinking of ways to present our content in the most reader-friendly way possible,” said Michael Portantiere, TheaterMania’s editor in chief. “The transformation of Peter Filichia’s Diary from a column to a blog is in line with that goal. Moving forward, both Mr. Filichia and Barbara & Scott Siegel will augment the work of our other reviewers, allowing us to expand our already extensive coverage of shows in New York, throughout the U.S., and in London. Our new Nightlife & Cabaret page will offer the Siegels’ reviews of cabaret acts in their weekly Nightlife Notes column, while Brian Scott Lipton’s monthly cabaret spotlight will highlight notable shows in NYC and other areas. The nightlife page will go live today, April 3, with Brian’s column and a cabaret listings section; the Siegels’ column will appear every Friday, beginning April 7.”
