Hugh Jackman is back on Broadway, specifically the intimate Circle in the Square Theatre. You can see him there in the U.S. debut of Jez Butterworth's The River, which takes place on a dark night in a remote cabin in the woods during what is ostensibly a fishing getaway for a man and his new girlfriend. But is this play really about trout, or something more? In this mysterious three-hander, the truth is as slippery as a big fish.

Starring opposite Jackman (A Steady Rain) are Cush Jumbo and Laura Donnelly in their Broadway debuts. Ian Rickson (who helmed Butterworth's last Broadway foray, Jerusalem) directs.
