The Off-Broadway Run of Old Jews Telling Jokes to Retire Next Month

The long-running off-Broadway production of Peter Gethers and Daniel Okrent's Old Jews Telling Jokes, which has been playing at the Westside Theater since May 1, 2012, has announced that it will close on September 15. Marc Bruni, who directs, will now helm the upcoming Chicago production when it opens on September 24 at the Royal George Theatre.

Old Jews Telling Jokes showcases five actors who pay tribute to and reinvent classic jokes. It also includes new and old comic songs as well as tributes to, the website that inspired the show.

The creative team includes David Gallo (set and video design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Alejo Vietti (costume design), and Richard Fitzgerald/Sound Associates (sound design).
