The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Will Move to Broadway This Fall

The hit London production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will make the leap to Broadway this fall, the National Theatre of Great Britain has announced. The production is set to play the Barrymore Theatre, though an opening date has not yet been revealed.
Based on Mark Haddon's best-selling novel of the same title, the Olivier Award-winning drama, adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens, follows Christopher, a 15-year-old math genius with behavioral issues, as he solves the mystery of who killed a neighbor's dog and rediscovers his own family.

Marianne Elliott, who won an Olivier for her direction of the play, will helm the New York production, with a cast made up of American actors. Featured on the creative team are Bunny Christie (scenic and costume design), Paule Constable (lighting design), Finn Ross (video design), Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly (movement), Adrian Sutton (music), and Ian Dickinson for Autograph (sound design).

The current London staging is on hiatus after the collapse of the ceiling at the Apollo Theatre last month. It will reopen at the Gielgud Theatre in June.
