The Berenstain Bears LIVE! to Honor Jan Berenstain at Upcoming Performances

The Berenstain Bears LIVE! will present this weekend’s performances in honor of The Berenstain Bears creator Jan Berenstain, who, as previously reported, died on February 24 at the age of 88.

The Berenstain Bears LIVE!, currently playing an open-ended run at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre, gives boys and girls of all ages the chance to fall in love with these characters, just as their parents did when they were growing up. The family-friendly musical features an original score by Michael Borton and a book by Borton and Michael Slade.

Producer Matt Murphy says, “We are all honored to have been a part of Jan’s dream by bringing her characters to life on stage every weekend. Our show will continue to inspire children just as the books have for 50 years, with the spirit of Jan Berenstain living on in our story.”
