The Awesome 80s Prom, the long-running interactive off-Broadway show, will return to New York City this summer for five performances only, from May 17–September 20. The show will play Saturday evenings at 42West, located adjacent to the OUT Hotel.

Conceived and directed by Ken Davenport, and written by a collective of performers dubbed "The Class of 1989," the show is an interactive senior prom inspired by the classic films of the 1980s. There you'll meet familiar characters such as the Captain of the Football Team, the Geek, and the Head Cheerleader — and they're all competing for Prom King and Queen.

The original group of writers/performers included Sheila Berezan, Alex Back, Adam Bloom, Anne Bobby, Courtney Balan, Nicole Cicchella, Mary Faber, Stephen Guarino, Jeff Hiller, Emily McNamara, Troy Metcalf, Jenna Pace, Amanda Ryan Paige, Brian Peterson, Jessica West Regan, Kathy Searle, Mark Shunock, Josh Walden, Noah Weisberg, Brandon Williams, Simon Wong, and Fletcher Young.

The Awesome 80s Prom will be performed on May 17 and 31, June 21, July 26, and September 20.
