Team Starkid’s Apocalytour, with Songs by Darren Criss, Nick Gage, A.J. Holmes, to Launch Tour in May
Team StarKid will launch a national tour of Apocalyptour with two performances at House of Blues in Chicago, May 9-10. Julia Albain will direct the show, which will have musical direction by Clark Baxtresser and choreography by Katie Spelman.
The tour will continue with engagements in such cities as Indianapolis, New Orleans, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, St. Louis, Philadelphia, and Boston, and will conclude on June 10 with an engagement at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.
The show will feature material by Darren Criss, Nick Gage and A.J. Holmes from the group’s musicals including A Very Potter Musical, A Very Potter Sequel, Me and My Dick, and Starship, as well as the company’s newest piece, Holy Musical B@tman!.
The cast will feature Jaime Lyn Beatty, Brian Holden, Lauren Lopez, Jim Povolo, Joey Richter, Brian Rosenthal, Dylan Saunders, Meredith Stepien, and Joseph Walker.
The band will include Charlene Kaye (guitar), Clark Baxtresser (keyboard), Megan Cox (keyboard), Dave Scalia (drums), and Tomek Miernowski (bass).
The creative team will be comprised of production designer Corey Lubowich, lighting designer Sarah Petty, and costume designer June Saito.
