Tammy Grimes, Anne Jackson, Eli Wallach et al. to Honor Marian Seldes at Theater for the New City’s Love ‘N’ Courage Gala

Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes will be honored at Theater for the New City’s 2011 Love ‘N’ Courage gala, to be held at the National Arts Club on Monday, February 28 at 6:30pm. Lee Roy Reams will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Last year’s honorees, Eli Wallach and Anne Jackson, will perform, as will Seldes herself. Additional performers will include Tammy Grimes, the Wendy Osserman Dance Company, Rod Rodgers Dance Company, Bina Sharif, Jean-Claude Van Itallie, and Boleros by the Pablo Mayor Trio.

The event will begin with cocktails at 6:30pm, dinner at 7pm, and performances at 8pm.
Proceeds will benefit the theater’s Emerging Playwrights’ Program.

Seldes won a Tony Award for her 1967 performance in A Delicate Balance and was the recipient of a 2010 Tony for Lifetime Achievement. Her numerous theater credits include Dinner at Eight, Three Tall Women, Ring Round the Moon, Deathtrap, Equus, Father’s Day, and Painting Churches.
