Stephen Plunkett, Maureen Sebastian Set for Carly Mensch’s Now Circa Then

Stephen Plunkett and Maureen Sebastian will appear in Carly Mensch’s Now Circa Then, to run September 14-October 9 at Ars Nova. Jason Eagan will direct the production. which will open officially on September 27..

The play, which spans a century, looks an immigrant couple on New York’s Lower East Side, circa 1890 and an unlikely pair of historical reenactors in contemporary New York.

Plunkett’s credits include The Orphan’s Home Cycle, This Beautiful City and On the Levee, among others. Sebastian has been seen in such off-Broadway productions as Year Zero, Soul Samurai and Children of Vonderly.

The creative team will include Lauren Helpern (scenic design), Jenny Mannis (costume design), Traci Klainer (lighting design), and Ryan Rumery (original music and sound design).
