Ubeda will soon be dancing alongside Clyde Alves, Tony Yazbeck, and Jay Armstrong Johnson.

The current Broadway revival of On the Town has announced plans to welcome So You Think You Can Dance winner Ricky Ubeda to the ensemble of the musical beginning February 27. Ubeda will stay with the production for a limited engagement through April 26. Ubeda received the opportunity to join the cast as part of his prize for winning So You Think You Can Dance in September 2014.

On the Town, which opened at Broadway's Lyric Theatre on October 16, features direction by John Rando and choreography by Joshua Bergasse. Created by the legendary creative team of Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden, Adolph Green, and Jerome Robbins, On the Town is a musical love letter to New York City. Yazbeck, Johnson, and Alves, whose characters take on the Big Apple while on 24-hour shore leave.

Tony Yazbeck, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and Clyde Alves lead the cast as Gabey, Chip, and Ozzie, a trio of sailors on shore leave in New York City, with Megan Fairchild, Alysha Umphress, and Elizabeth Stanley as the women who steal their hearts. Supporting players include Jackie Hoffman as Madame Dilly, Michael Rupert as Judge Pitkin W. Bridgework, Allison Guinn as Lucy Schmeeler, and Phillip Boykin and Stephen DeRosa in a number of roles.
